Decided to get a room for the night after going out to dinner in Palm Springs and wanted a place with natural mineral spring pools. What a pleasant surprise this place was. Extremely affordable with easy to book reservations. The check-in process was so easy, they text you the code for the gate and your room door and you are all set. Don't even need to go by the front desk. Stayed in one of the rooms with the kitchen. Definitely not a five-star resort but worth the five stars I'm leaving for the price and what you get this place is a must. Only drawback is the neighborhood that it's in is a bit sketchy, but hey it's in Desert Hot Springs and we knew what we were signing up for when we booked the reservation. We will definitely be back with our dogs next time.
Review for Inaja #2 - off-site room up the road. Solid stay, but most notable was that when we got to the room it smelled strongly of cannabis. The Inaja #2 room is located about a 2 minute walk up the street from the main Inn. It is in a house which appears to have four units in total, all with private entrances. The vibe was… interesting. Other than the odor, the room & bathroom was clean and even had a small kitchenette. The Hot Springs Inn has a nice hot tub, and the entire property is passively managed/contactless. Check-in was easy with using a keypad to enter the code. All in all, a fine stay, but would probably expire other options in the future.
The Desert Hot Springs Inn is a true hidden gem! We have stayed there twice and were equally delighted each time. The first time we stayed in a room with a kitchenette which was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The second time we stayed in a standard room which came with a mini-fridge and hot water kettle. The room was spotless and there was access to a microwave in the shared kitchen area which was equally clean and well-appointed. An additional perk that make the Desert Hot Springs Inn special is the garden area outback with a gas grill, gas fire pit, and fenced dog run area as well as fabulous views of the mountains. There is also the mineral water spa and pool! I am also amazed at how responsive the management is to requests given everything is handled remotely. (You get a text message with the access code to the main gate and your room.) Last time we stayed I forgot my Kindle in the room. They found it and shipped it back to me right away. Finally, and perhaps best of all for pet owners, they do not charge a dog fee which is a huge plus for pet owners!
