El Morocco Inn & Day Spa

Really don't know what to expect when we booked, the pics online looked great though. When we arrived it was eye opening, this fantastic little oasis for our weekend escape. The guy at the front desk was really nice and gave us a tour of the kitchen/breakfast pickup, the TV room playing Casablanca on loop, the 200+DVD collection you can take any and watch in your room, the pool, gardens with day beds, giant chess, saunas hidden away everywhere and finally our spacious room with sitting area, microwave, fridge and canopy bed. Phew! It's a lot and it is a great place to hideout at the weekend. They also have award winning mineral water. We got a couples massage and it was one of the best we've had recently, putting a lot of places to shame, so relaxing. Just book it, you won't regret it.

My husband and I have now stayed here twice. The first time we stayed there, about a year ago, it was a spontaneous decision. This time, it was very intentional! And it did not disappoint. Even though it was unseasonably hot in Desert Hot Springs for March, we managed to always stay cool and comfortable, thanks to the thoughtful and beautiful design of the place, indoors and out. I've been to Morocco, and this place is legit. The place is also very clean and well maintained. The rooms are boho chic, with some (or maybe all) offering a fridge, microwave, etc. We like the fact that there's no poolside drink service, because we can byob. Plus, their complimentary mint tea/lemonade is delicious. They do have a nifty setup for self-service French press coffee, which is great. The free breakfast is pretty forgettable, but it's free! People come here for the pools and the desert air and the wonderful shared spaces, not for a full-service resort experience (though the staff is extremely friendly). Our couples' massage was also a delight. Overall, this place is a gem and a wonderful, easy, and affordable getaway for SoCal folks like me!

What a charming and beautiful oasis at El Morocco Inn!! Don't be fooled by the exterior. When you step inside you are transported. From the decor to the beautiful rooms to the mineral water pool and hot tub to the french press coffee, Moroccan iced tea and healthy continental breakfast, this is a gem. I am sad I only booked one night - I will be going back! And don't forget the spa services - Elizabeth is fabulous!

We found a gem in the desert! El Morocco Inn & Spa is such a treasure of a place. Very clean. Welcoming. Tranquil. Great location. We will definitely be back and sharing our experience with others. This place would also be a great gift certificate for loved ones.

I love this place. It’s truly magical. From the moment I open the front door there’s a warm, subtle exotic scent in the air, the exquisite pool and the room like something out of a fairytale. Everyone is so kind and helpful. And I love watching Casablanca in the romantic viewing room. It’s a little paradise away from home.
